Collection: Daniel Walters (b.1973)

Born in 1973 and raised in eastern Oklahoma, I hold an Associate of Arts degree from Carl Albert State College. I have been a professional artist for approximately 20 years, during which I have exhibited artwork in galleries across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, I shifted focus from gallery exhibitions to commission work. My commissioned pieces are held in private collections throughout the United States and Canada, as well as displayed in several public buildings in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. Additionally, I have completed murals in these regions and collaborated with small towns in eastern Oklahoma to support arts community development.

Currently, I serve as VicePresident of the Sequoyah County Historical Society and am a cofounder of the Red Autumn Arts Festival in Sallisaw, OK. I have received multiple awards, including a drawing that tied for first place in the World Art Competition last year. I am also a member of the Portrait Society of America. My online presence includes a large following on Facebook and a broader international network on LinkedIn.

My recent work features the human figure in various compositions, exploring different levels of detail and color to examine connections between the viewer and the artwork.
